Working with local farmers from the beginning of the season, Max Chef to Farm has selected heirloom varietals from the seed selection at The Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre in Wethersfield, one of the oldest and most complete collections of seeds available anywhere in the country, to fill out this bountiful dinner.
On Thursday, September 13th, Chef Hunter Morton of Max's Oyster Bar and MRG Sommelier Brain Mitchell create a food and drink menu based solely around locally sourced produce, specific for this venue. Reception in the Heirloom Market café, hosted by owners Spiro and Julia Koulouris, with dinner to follow under the stars (weather permitting, of course, we'll be indoors if necessary). Tour the seed store and green houses or shop in the market area while you mingle with local farmers. Music by BackBeat City Funk.
